CMDS Residential, LLC (Clinic Management and Development Services, Inc.) is preparing to open a substance abuse treatment center at 6040 Harford Rd. Community associations and school staff learned recently of the proposed treatment center, which Director, Dr. Bilal Ali says will open in March 2020. While opioid treatment centers are allowed “by right” at any facility licensed for medical treatment, there has been discussion throughout Maryland about the possible need for zoning regulations to prohibit them from operating within 500 yards of a school or day care facility. At this community forum, Dr. Bilal Ali, Councilman Ryan Dorsey and Senator Cory McCray will discuss CMDS Residential LLC’s plans for this new facility, and address community concerns relating to its close proximity to Hamilton Elementary / Middle School.
