Community Garden Prep Day!

With the support of a Clean Up & Green Up Grant from the Maryland Environmental Trust and assistance from UME Baltimore City Master Gardeners, WNIA is excited to announce the establishment of a native pollinator garden at 6009 Harford Road, along the Southwestern border of Baltimore’s Westfield neighborhood.

We invite neighbors to pull out their green thumbs and join us for this fun two-day beautification project. On Sept 22 we will be weeding, trimming back established plants and adding topsoil to the beds. On Oct 6 we’ll plant Maryland native flowers/plants into the beds and dedicate a permanent plaque for the Westfield Community Garden. Volunteers may participate in one day or both. Wear comfortable clothes and bring garden shovels, gloves and shears (if you have them -we’ll have extra). Water and light refreshments will be provided.
